Reading and calculators
No registration is required to read articles or use the calculators. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted to our database. We use no ads or third-party visitor analytics. Cloudflare provides hosting, security and network services and may process request and security logs.
Signatures and email subscriptions
When email service is available, we store your email, submitted nickname, language, subscription preference and confirmation/signature times. Resend processes your email to deliver confirmation and updates. Only confirmed addresses count as signatures or email subscribers. Emails are not public. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; expired requests are purged during maintenance.
Use your private email management link to unsubscribe, withdraw your signature or delete signature/subscription data. Unsubscribing does not withdraw a signature. Deletion removes associated confirmation requests and delivery records. Do not share management links.
Discussion and corrections
Comment nicknames and text become public after review; nicknames are not verified identities. A withdrawal credential is stored in the submitting browser and is lost if local data is cleared. Original correction submissions are private to editors; public logs show only page and resolution summaries. Avoid personal information. Content is stored in Cloudflare D1 until withdrawn or deleted by an editor.
Local storage and owner login
Your browser may store a theme preference, comment withdrawal credentials and correction tracking credentials. Owner login uses a secure HttpOnly cookie limited to management APIs and expires after eight hours. Rate-limit records use keyed hashes of IP addresses and time windows instead of raw IPs; expired records are purged during maintenance.
